I am buying a receiver for my setup home theater, My speakers are a little older, but still amazing sound and seems to be the best option for my money now (nothing has blown me away on a <$ 100 budget). They are older speakers with 6 Ohlms Aiwa resistance and 60w rating. I wonder if going to be a problem for me to buy a Sony amplifier with 4 or 8 Ohlms impedance and 80W rating. Hello. You should have no problem with the receiver with your speakers Sony Aiwa. It is always better to have more power than the production he provided input.as not turn the volume down to a ridiculous level that could damage speakers.But worse if you try to provide the speakers with more power than the amplifier can be deliver.which send serious distortion of the speakers may damage both the amplifier. and speakers.
