Harman Kardon CP40 or Logitech Z5500?
I am having a hard time deciding between these two, as I have heard so much in a store. The Logitech is cheaper and has almost double amount of watts, then the Harman Kardon CP40. However, the Harman Kardon sound a bit smoother. I'll be using this for my ps3 for games and movies, which would be a better investment? If that audio professionals can tell me the pros and cons that would be great. It is also possible to upgrade the cables the speakers on both systems? Values cables looked very thin and maybe a thicker cable to improve sound quality. (tell me if I'm right or not) links to the two systems http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/speakers_audio/home_pc_speakers/devices/224&cl=us Logitech Z5500, in Harman Kardon http://reviews.cnet.com/home-theater-systems/harman- kardon-cp-40/4505-6740_7-32472462.html? tag = sub CP40
Hands down Harmon / Kardon system. One thing is watts Surround sound does not always mean better sound. The factor to watch closely is considered the "THD" Spec, which are both sites of the list. The lower the "total harmonic distortion" proportion, the better the sound at high volume. The "THD" Logitech is about 10% compared with the K / H which is 0.07% Large difference between the two. Go Harmon / Kardon!
