I have a spectroniq PHT-300X Home Theater System and TV Protron PLTV -3750. I'm trying to connect my PS3?
have high definition video and surround sound. I tried the optical cable and change settings on my ps3 but I have no sound. the way i did was went from cable PS3 HDMI to TV (only I have 1 HDMI port on my TV), DVD player connected to TV with cable red green blue (the only way you can connect, no player's HDMI port DVD). The DVD is the source of the speakers to connect to (just as the receiver). I run the fiber optic cable for the PS3 DVD player, change the settings sound of the PS3 to the optical configuration and nothing. I can not hear any sound at all not the TV or speakers. I know the optical cable connected seening correctly because I'm red light coming from the cable, when disconnecting one side of it. Basically, I am perplexed. Can someone help me please! One million thanks. MGS4 I need to experience surround sound.
I can not find a manual for your DVD / home theater yet, but have you checked to make sure your DVD player is set to mode right to disseminate the contributions of your PS3?
