I am interested in becoming a DJ.?
For events and parties … dj is not a club …. What are some things to consider to start? I planning to use high-end home amplifiers and speakers theater subs for my computer is a good idea or should I continue with active speaker systems, as most dj's do? The team that I can now easily fill a large room club and I'm thinking of getting a better side than they have now. Also what is the average hourly rate charged by DJ's? I'm in NB, Canada for the types I want to know CDN rates.
I live in BC And I'm a DJ. I 300-400 people make the small parts and charging 250 for 3 hours, plus an extra deposit of $ 200 that I give back to the end of the concert for my team to make sure no damage. You should go to a music store and check out some speaker systems that have and see what you feel comfortable. Make sure your system looks good and matches.
