Diagram Wiring Home Theater System

I just purchased a home theater system, and the need for cables and speaker?

I just bought a Phillips hts3555. It has plugs on the end of the cables. I should add more cables to the rear left speaker. Can I cut the cables and connect a long piece of cable? I am fairly new to this, so any links and diagrams really help. Thank you!

It's not a good idea to cut and splice. But if you have and can weld that would be the way forward. I want to buy some contraction tube to put over the joint. Take a trip to Radio Shack and buy a small welder. Http: / / www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062738&cp=&sr=1&origkw=soldering+ iron & kw = soldering + iron & parentPage = search And some welding http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062719&cp=&pg=2&sr=1&origkw=solder&kw=solder&parentPage=search … And finally, some reduce tube … http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062662&cp=&sr=1&origkw=shrink+tube&kw=shrink+tube&parentPage=search To begin … Preheat the welder. Now we will see the cable and wire purchase or use of a similar caliber. This will prevent this joint clean. Do not cut the cable near the end, It may be difficult to splice close to the plug. Try to find a place where the cable is hidden. After cutting the cable. Place a 1 1 / 2 to 2 inch piece of contraction tube over the wire and make sure you pull it as far away from the junction so that does not shrink while soldering. Now pull the two ends of the wire that needs to be welded together about 1 / 2 inch. Presoldering the end of the wire. Now comes the hard part. If you have someone to hold a cable or wire can keep stable … solder two wires together. Now pull the contraction of the tube over the joint and heat using a heat gun, lighter, or open flame. Well I hope this help.
