Anyone have problems with screen wrinkles or waves in the manual projection screens? Better with a DIY fixed?
I'm putting a small cinema home for Christmas. I session projector, surround sound. As for screens, I was ready to find a manual pull over and just leave open all the time, I read that the waves are developed and are really affected by leaving a window open with a breeze or turn the A / C on. Especially during the day. I have some ambient light during the day, though my projector is 1300 lumens and seems well with the image of 80 "(16:9) I have read about DIY screens fixed and does not seem so difficult. I imagine that it could buy the actual material used and put in very tight or using blackout cloth backing I live in an apartment to paint a screen on the wall is not an option. I was very close to getting the Epson duo screen but then I read that sinks
I'm glad you did not buy the manual pulldown screen. You will not be very happy with it. The cost to develop wrinkles fairly quickly and will blow the CA that distort their image. Your best bet is to go with a fixed frame screen or make one yourself. Make that one will cost more than you think, especially because you can not paint the wall. Why not get a good fixed frame screen line. There are two companies that have a very high quality fixed frame screens and manufacturers sell directly to the Internet only. Carada screens and tribal peoples are the only ones who can provide that quality at the lowest price. I have a 92 "Tribe my projector screen home theater with a Mitsubishi HD projector 720p. I love the image quality. It's incredible! When you move you can take your screen with you. As technology changes, it will update your projector will be faster than your screen. It's worth the investment.
