Will this TV tuner for recording and playing on Comcast HD? Can I pick up ESPN HD OTA as a setback?
Hello everyone, I am thinking of buying a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual TV Tuner / Encoder 1229: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815116037 This will go on my home theater PC. But I am concerned that this TV tuner may be obsolete for use with High Definition Comcast Cable. I have read in some forums that Comcast is using more and more channels from this card encrypted and can only list a clear-QAM and ATSC, you may be unable to obtain the recording and playback capabilities desire. Ok, firstly there is no such thing as "ESPN OTA. ESPN does not transmit ** ** ANY TV signals anywhere. This is a single cable network.
