Home Theater Media Server?

I have two televisions and a home theater projector. Is there any way to connect a central place to play DVD's, for my satellite receiver, etc and then have the television signal to 3 different depending on where I want to see? I did not know if I could get some sort of media server (I know nothing about them) or setting up a computer to act as one. I have a spare computer, and I would use it for a TiVo. If someone could point me in the right direction for information would be greatly appreciated.

Here's what we do for people in these days. Install all equipment in a rack in a central cabinet. We use all HDMI equipment. We bring the equipment, along with an HDMI switch matrix for any room can use any source device and multiple rooms can share a device. DVDs are attended by an Escient server or if you can afford it, Kalidescape server movie that is a legal way to own the DVD on a hard drive. Remote control from each room is transmitted back to the cabinet to control source equipment. We take the TV to the wall and mount the speakers on walls or ceilings. Wives that love, as you can imagine. For DIY, you could only get something like software such as AnyDVD and rip your DVDs directly to a hard disk. You still have to distribute to three televisions. If you are the only comment you can get HDMI (Or component video, you video or composite video) dividers that are much cheaper than the devices of the array. Matrix is only necessary if more than a person is watching TV at a time. Contact me if you want. My email here is not limited to S / A
