The purchase of a home theater with someone. Can they still make the sound of television and home theater at the same time?
I have ordered a Home Sony Theater (HT-DDW700) for my nephew and have some questions about connecting. Start by explaing his connections a bit. He has a standard 32 " television, an HD DVR and a DVD player. Home Theater seems to have 3 A / V inputs, one coaxial digital input and an optical digital input. Your DVR has both a departure coaxial and optical output, and standard A / V Your DVD player has A / V outputs and a digital coaxial output. It uses the standard A / V cables to connect your DVD player and your DVR to your TV. My question is whether you can have two audio outputs (optical and digital cable A / V) working simultaneously from their DVR to TV & Home Theater – And have two audio outputs (coaxial and digital cable A / V) while working your DVD for television and home theater. After looking at the diagram, I think this will work well. We have a very similar set up at our house. The only difference is they have no audio signal from DVD directly to TV. We like to use our surround sound with all DVDs. But our HD receiver sends the audio via RCA and optical outputs for TV and home theater set-up, respectively. I do not see a problem with the audio cables to connect directly from the DVD to the TV. You should have no problem. PS The diagram is correct, so the wiring goes.
