Question on choosing a home theater system?
Okay, so I recently purchased a Samsung LN52B750 (TV very sweet), I connect HD cable next week or so and now I am looking to buy a home theater system. I am deciding between the energy is 5.1 and the HD Classic Klipsch 500 (5.1). I read a lot of comments and it seems that energy to make the Klipsch Classic. So I have to go with the energy Classic. My question is I'm looking for a receiver and am leaning towards a Yamaha RX-V765. Does anyone have any experience with this receiver or Yamaha, in general …. I've never had a receiver, so I'm very new at this. Also, my TV is 240Hz …. is what the 240Hz-capable receivers? Thanks I only 120Hz? seen all your help! Steve
Receiver to consider is the Pioneer Elite and Onkyo are both 7.1 system so you may have to find a partner additional speaker for rear surround sound. Actually, it has to match the rest of the system, but would be good, I use a JBL speaker of mine. Go online to the Home Theater magazine and read the comments of the receiver and anything that might interest you. It is my source of information when Iam ready to buy audio and video for my house. The Pioneer Elite SC-07 (second to the top model) is now $ 1500 at best buy for $ 2,200. I hope this helps you in the right direction.
