Home Theater?
I'm trying to hook a home theater with older components and a new Harman Kardon AVR. Please help. The components that have are the following: CD, DVD, VCR, digital cable box, older JVC television, the question is I'm having with the cable. How connected with the cable box, TV and VCR. This requires configuration AVR-screen until all speakers balanced. Can not get ahead on-line and also to connect the DVD directly to your TV to get a picture there. I do not know what I did, but I've been rather confused with the book of a manual that comes with the AVR. Basically, I thought that everything ran on the AVR and then connected the TV to the monitor output on the AVR. This did not work. So far I have talked to 3 representatives from service customer and nobody has been able to give me the right setup. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Its limiting factor is the JVC TV. Try this: HK (Kardiner Harmon) to TV composite (not component) video (yellow) composite video cable from Hong Kong to JVC. Do not worry about red / white audio cables TV. CD: digital audio (coaxial or optical) on a CD in the VCR HK yellow / red / white RCA in the VCR HK yellow / red / white on the recorder out in Hong Kong (for recording) Yellow DVD and digital audio (coaxial or optical) on a DVD in HK are valid all the video jacks: HDMI: large custom cable with special DVI: cable Custom large rectangular connector component with large red / green / blue Svideo set of three cables: DIN connector with 4-conductor composites special: Always a single cable JVC yellow its probably only capable of compost.
