Looking to buy a HD camcorder. What is the difference between HD 1920x1080i and 1440x1080i?

I am thinking of buying one of two cameras JVC HD units built 60 GB hard disk. There's the HD3 which records at 1440x1080i and then there's the HD7US which records at 1920x1080i. That's the main difference. There is also the Fujinon lens, which is in higher resolution and a lens / Konica Minolta on the bottom. I know that is a better quality Fujinon lens that Konica. But my main question is, with a price difference of $ 400, there will be a significant difference between the two when I view my 42 "Plasma TV? that is able to do 1080i. And I'm losing to buy the cheapest HD3 instead of HD7? Will I be able to tell the difference? Information is much appreciated! Also, if a hard disk or better Mini-DV 3CCD HD camcorder (without spending more than $ 1300), Let me know! I see all my options before buying. Thanks in advance!

Good you'll lose some detail in the background with the1440 x 1080 ….
