Can anyone help me with my home theater system?
I just bought a HT-S5100 Onkyo surround sound system, and when I plugged it into my PS3 So I can not get any audio file. The audio works fine on my TV, but not my PS3. I search in Google and found a lot of people with the same problem, but nothing works for me. I know that this system only supports HDMI pass-through for I have made audio cables connected to the cable box and I get audio too good but also connected the audio cables to my PS3 and integrated audio is not output. I read that I get optical cables so I just got back from Best Buy for a PS3 optical audio cable, but when I hooked up, still can not get sound. Can anyone help? What am I doing wrong? And no, my system is not muted. So do not suggest that. Awesome! Thanks James E. I can not believe it was that simple. I feel like such a fool. Well nobody has to answer. Dude you have to change your sound output settings on the PS3. The PS3 HDMI audio to change the first connecting in an HDMI cable. You will have to switch to optical audio output.
