Pioneer Home Theater System
Can anyone tell me if I use the speakers in a home theater system for connecting with regular receivers?

Speakers player besides DVD in a package as Pioneer HTS-950NXT – home theater system cost less than a pair of good quality. I have good keynote speakers. They just want to have the speakers presence as a speaker system Yamama and want an additional subwoofer as an add-on to the main speaker and two surround speakers or rear surround speakers. Thx

I have a HTIB system. It came with 5.1. Sounds too good to HTIB. I also have a 12 "Cerwin-Vega 4ohm (closed to car use) connected to the subwoofer output (in parallel) with the other HTIB speaker. Both work well, producing good bass. The same can be done with the other speakers, if desired. The fall is this more speakers connected, the hottest of the amplifier system will arrive, as it is using more energy to generate sound. If your primary system has the proper amperage output, hook up the speakers. Enjoy the sounds. However, keeping track of heat generated, as this is a good "feel" gauge on the power consumption of the amplifier system.
