Get extremely low volume of 2 external surround speakers to be plugged into anything?

Hi guys, I've been having an acute problem with 2-speaker surround sound system speakers. The problem is that when I have to connect to anything (music, home theater came with a cable box, VCR, DVD player and anything else, the speakers play for a VERY low volume (the guy who has to put together to hear youre) Cound quality even at these levels in volume is great though. I removed the front grill and I see no loose wires or cables and everything is where it's supposed to be. The cone moves up and down easily, is there something that was lost while in there? What can I do to fix these speakers? Can you tell me what is wrong with them, any more help than that get the 10 points best answer! Thanks again in advance

There are simple ways to check whether a speaker is playing right into immersive situation sound. The first is to replace the rear speakers to the front. If they work well on the front, then the problem would be adjusted according to some kind of specification. (such as THX or any other disk optimization available – if you do not have one and I will not buy one – Indiana Jones remasterd rental discs I think we all come THX optimization tests with them) are inconjuction work with your receiver and allow you to adjust the levels so you can get optimum sound and picture.
