Looking at a beginning of a line of 120 Hz, 1080p, 25000:1 Tv is tempting, but I'm looking at the $ 3000 price tag and wonder is it really worth it? Will I notice a difference between saying that a $ 2,000 TV? Because if for wasting $ 3000 I will not be able to get a home theater system, what is more important? Basically, I want a really solid TV for Blu-ray and PS3. I Rear Projection TV right now thats capable of 1080i (her few years). What is the minimum we need to reach not regret my purchase the coming years? Resolution: (I guess 1080p) Refresh Rate (120Hz it really necessary?) Contrast: (I'm guessing 10000:1 good?)

I have a 46 – inch Sony Bravia XBR 4 with the 120Hz refresh is impressive but to be honest, I did not break the bank if you can not afford 120Hz. It is very difficult to distinguish effect for the average viewer. You could swap the XBR4 to around or below $ 2400 although most retailers try to tat, perhaps. Or you configuration could have a decent 1080p using something like the VU42LF Vizio 42-inch LCD 1080p HDTV I saw going for less than $ 1,000 in a sale buy.com a few weeks ago. Then can afford to spring for the Onkyo receiver with 7.1 surround sound nice! Add about HDMI cables and want to be all set for less than $ 2,000! Good luck.
