Addition of a 100-watt subwoofer help my home theater?

Ok, I have a decent home theater system is a Yamaha yht 370, I really like. It is 5.1 with a 100-watt passive sub that sounds good. I was thinking about adding a powered subwoofer that I saw at Best Buy. This is a Yamaha 100 watt subwoofer 10 inches and appears to be built for this configuration. But I wonder, since both are 100 watts, if you will notice that much difference? So can anyone tell me whether to make a big difference in listening. So if you use both subs? What would it be? One in front and one in the back by the surroundings? Thank you. The receiver outputs 120 watts to each speaker, I think. I could be wrong, but I thought that an active subwoofer has its own amp, so it doesn't matter how much output the receiver have? My room is about 18×12, so it is not so great.

What is your receiver into reality by providing your current sub? I say buy it from Best Buy and test (you can return it). 2 subs may be too much for its small room. If you get a powered subwoofer, then not much power for your receiver putting out because the active subwoofer is not going to use that power. Only uses its own built in amplifier. As you said that today you have is already getting up to 120W of amplifier, then you will be better with your current sub.
